FAQs & Troubleshooting

Find answers to commonly asked questions and solutions to technical issues.

How should I store my antibodies?

Most antibodies should be stored at -20°C or -80°C. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles. Add 50% glycerol for long-term storage at -20°C. Always refer to the product datasheet for specific recommendations.

What is the recommended dilution for Western Blot?

Typical starting dilution is 1:500-1:2000. Optimize based on your specific samples and detection method. Check the product datasheet for validated applications and recommended dilutions.

My Western Blot shows high background. What should I do?

  • Increase blocking time (5% milk for 1 hour)
  • Increase wash stringency (more Tween-20)
  • Reduce primary antibody concentration
  • Use fresh blocking buffer

What if my antibody doesn't work in IHC?

Verify antigen retrieval method (heat-induced vs. enzymatic). Check if the antibody is validated for IHC. Optimize fixative type and fixation time. Consider antigen retrieval buffers (citrate pH 6.0 or EDTA pH 8.0).

Do you offer discounts for academic institutions?

Yes, we offer special pricing for academic research institutions. Contact our sales team at academic@labrecon.com for more information on academic discounts.

How long does it take for custom antibody production?
